This towering masterpiece is on Fire Island , New York. Sorrounded by sand dunes and water it is quite a scene. After a couple of trips to the local beach for sun and saltwater fun, I had to paint this old light house. Of course it conjured images of old ships carefully navigating the inlets and coastal waters and young couples with pick nick baskets. I can't imagine myself climbing the stairs to the very top though...hahaha.Whew!
